La parálisis de Bell es una afectación periférica del séptimo par craneal por causa desconocida.
 El cuadro se presenta manera aguda y unilateral, donde puede presentar dolor retro auricular primera instancia luego debilidad los músculos faciales.
 diagnóstico clínico, en casos especiales utilizan estudios complementarios posee varios diagnósticos diferenciales, entre más importantes encuentran el accidente cerebrovascular, neoplasia síndrome Ramsay Hunt.
 tratamiento debe iniciar forma aguda, siendo elección esteroides las primeras 24 a 72 horas, asociado terapia física. En un 90% con buen pronóstico sin secuelas largo plazo.
